The Voice of ChinLand (VOC) is a nonprofit, independent Chin media organization delivering truthful, multilingual news from Chinland, Myanmar, to the world. Founded in 2024, VOC connects communities through reliable reporting, promotes democracy and human rights, and amplifies the voices of the displaced and marginalized.
Our Story
Founded in 2024, The Voice of ChinLand (VOC) emerged in response to Myanmar’s growing media suppression and the urgent need for truthful, independent reporting. Established by a group of Chin journalists and advocates, VOC began as a small volunteer initiative dedicated to amplifying the voices of Chin communities affected by war, displacement, and censorship.
From its humble beginnings, VOC has grown into a trusted nonprofit, independent news organization that delivers multilingual coverage of Chin affairs, Myanmar news, and global developments. Broadcasting in local Chin dialects, Burmese, English, and Mizo, VOC ensures that refugees, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and marginalized groups have access to reliable information.
Rooted in the belief that free press is the foundation of democracy, VOC strives to promote transparency, human rights, and social unity through responsible journalism. Today, VOC continues to connect Chinland to the world — empowering communities, fostering dialogue, and giving a voice to the unheard.
